overwhelmed and overstimulated mom with toddler boy

Cynthia Turbow, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience in community mental health, specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. I am passionate about supporting mothers as they navigate the emotional demands of parenting, relationships, and identity.

As both a clinician and a mother, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges women face—feeling overwhelmed, managing anxiety, balancing competing roles, and trying to show up fully for their families while not losing themselves in the process.

My work focuses on helping mothers build practical coping strategies, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop a greater sense of clarity and self-trust. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
