overwhelmed and overstimulated mom with toddler boy

Selby Blum, AMFT

The perinatal period is one of the most profound and complex seasons of life. It can bring
moments of joy and connection, but also anxiety, uncertainty and the often-overlooked grief of
losing who you once were. Whether you’re navigating fertility challenges, pregnancy, or the
transition to life after birth, I offer a supportive and collaborative space to help you feel
understood and grounded again, in this new normal.

My work is rooted in the Psychodynamic, Family Systems, and Humanistic approaches. I don’t
believe in a one-size-fits-all model for such an inherently personal experience; your needs guide
the process. I specialize in helping individuals work through anxiety related to pregnancy and
birth, process pregnancy loss and/or fertility struggles, heal from birth trauma, and adjust to the
identity shifts that come with motherhood. Together, we will work together to make sense of your
experience, build coping strategies that feel sustainable, and move toward a place where life
feels more manageable and fulfilling.
